tags in different styles

These tags were a submission for a magazine but they didn't want them. So I can share it with you :-).

The task was to create projects in different styles and to use sequins.
I decided to make tags in the following styles:

clean and graphic "live"

classy and elegant "treasure"

freestyle mixed media "believe" (my new category ;-))

shabby chic "beauty" with window resin and junkyards findings metal hands from Ingvild Bolme

vintage and grunge "create to remember"

There is another style "fun and cute" but I decided to ignore it ;-)

Happy PPF!

Happy Pretty Girl

I'm in a very colorful and sensitive and soft mood and my layout reflects this.
I used subtle colors and created a imaginatively memory of a sunny and warm day.

butterflies in the garden

There is a challenge on the design memory craft blog and the theme is garden. It's perfect for spring and my submission for the challenge are these three cards, my "butterfly triology".
There are butterflies outside and I'm so happy to see them after a long cold winter.
I made a mixed media background with ink spray, stencil, stamps and acrylic paint. Then I doodled a little bit and decorated the paper with butterflies from a free collage sheet (absolutely free collage sheets on flickr) and textsticker.

I also want to share it with the wonderful Paint Party Friday!

Mother's Day Card and Blog Hop

Welcome to the third day of the Blog Hop with the Crafty Power Blog and Perfect Paper Crafting!
(There are awesome giveaways...!!! See instruction below!)

I made a mother's day card with selfmade paper and paper/motive from the Domestic Goddess collection from 7Dots Studio and I will show you the tutorial of it.

Just a view words about the materials I used.
I used a piece of handmade paper I made with paint sprays and stencils by myself and papers from 7 Dots Studio (Domestic Goddess). To cut the papers into layers I used the tool perfect layers from Perfect Paper Crafting and a cutter. The perfect layers are great to cut the papers correctly and to make multiple layers. I tried the perfect layers for the first time and I'm enthusiastic how easy and useful they are. Here you can read more about the use of them. For fixing papers I used the E-Z Dots permanent Refillable Dispenser from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I rounded the edges with the crop a dile corner chomper.

The pic collages shows you the development process.

1) the basics I used
2) cutted out the motive and fixed it with the E-Z Dots permanent Refillable Dispenser from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
3) used the perfect layer no.1 (1/8) for a perfect cut
4) rounded the edges
5) fixed the paper on the second layer
6) cutted the paper with perfect layer no.2 (5/16)

7) fixed a tag and the paper on paper for another layer
8) used perfect layer no.1 (5/8)
9) sewed zig zag for the title
10) fixed paper for the last layer
11) used perfect layer to cut out the background perfectly
12) now finishing with sticker & co

For the decoration of the card I used some stickers from Domestic Goddess. I finished the card with black splashes and some words and stickers.

Supplies by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L I used:

Other materials I used:
papers/tag/sticker from 7 Dots Studio (Domestic Goddess)
selfmade paper with stamps, acrylic paint, stencils Crafters Workshop, ink spray from Tattered Angels and Dylusions

selfmade file folder

Hallo meine lieben Blog-Leser / Hello my dear blog reader

Last year at the design team of the SAZ I was allowed to know a great mixed media artist, Maria Schmidt. She has a very unique imaginative style which I love. When I invited her to a joint project, they immediately agreed and had a wonderful idea.

We are both fans of Heidi Swapp and for some time Maria was fascinated by their file folders. And so she suggested to create our own file folder.

I got the idea to make a folder and assign it to smaller departments with mini booklet, bags and other small items. This my file folder inspired by Heidi, but it's totaly different from her products. I used cardboard in A4 size as base and made a map with a magnetic contact behind the flower.

The folder contains of several mini books in diferent sizes. You can also find some bags and a tag bag.

Here are some close ups.

Und hier ein kleiner Vorgeschmack auf Marias file folder. Wunderbare backgrounds, liebevolle Details, lasst Euch überraschen.

And here's a little taste of Mary's file folder. Wonderful backgrounds, attention to details let surprise you.

Last week I had the opportunity and pleasure to meet Heidi life. I took part in a workshop and it and she were just amazing. This is my binder album I made in her class. We had time enough to create the cover and 3 pages.

And now both, the file folder and the binder album, are waiting to be filled out.... :-))

cards - soul colors and love

I want to share two cards I made for the Ingvild Bolme Designteam. I'm so in love with the metal clock faces and hands from Ingvild Bolme. I made very colorful backgrounds with lot of texture and layers. So I decided not to overload the cards with other embellishments.

And now you can look up what the other girls have made for awesome and beautiful projects, go to the website of Ingvild Bolme.

I want to share these cards with the wonderful paint party friday. Happy PPF to all!!!

BAD SHOOT - challenge on paperdvizhnik

The new challenge no. 21 on Paperdvizhnik is here.

Your task is to make a project using a bad/pore photo shoot: with closed eyes, wrong composition etc.. Self-irony would be great :-)

I could'nt find a bad pic of mine ;-), but I found a shoot from my daughter with a funny grimace and I could see the resemblance to one of the famous people of the world. Can you see it too?

I also remembered the same idea by Tanya in paperdvizhnik challenge no.9. I have picked it, you can see it here. Great or not?! I know that I have kept the idea and when I saw the photo of my daughter, the idea came into my mind. But only when the layout was finished, I had the memory of having seen something like this before. That's the way with the "inspiration".

inspiration carousel

Today I want to share an idea for your inspirations, minds and thoughts.
A inspiration carousel with wire and clothes pins where you can hang up your favorite stuff.
I made a carousel for my favorite phrases.

1) I used a wooden stick and platform from a doll-kit. I cuted the wire into 3 pieces and rotated them around itself.
2) To fix the wooden stick into the platform I used one 3D Dodz from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.
3) In the next step I printed some favorite phrases on pattern paper and cuted them out.
4) I rounded the corners of the papers an distressed them. For the bottom I used a leftover from a  selfmade paper.

5) In the next step I fixed the wire-carousel with a 3D Dodz. You can also use a hot glue gun.
6) After that I wrapped around a white ribbon for a better look.
7) Back to the wooden platform I glued the piece of paper with E-Z Dots permanent from Scrapbook Adhesives.
8) Then I fixed on each end of the wire little clothe pins. I only bended the end of the wires.

 9) I fixed two little pieces of my minds eye paper with E-Z Dots permanent.
10) Now I decorated the wooden platform a little bit with flowers.
11) I also decorated the upper part of the wooden stick with ribbons, flower and a selfmade washi tape feather.
12) More flowers on the top.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great creative day!
Stephanie
