New in my Dawanda Shop

Hi there!

There is new stuff in my Dawanda Shop.
I added a new iPhone Case for the iPhone 5 "splashes". The Design is brand new. Never seen somewhere before ;-). It's a part of a bigger background I made with lot's of differet mixed media techniques. I hope you like it.

The words are "unknown" and "expectation"
And I added cards with matching envelopes. The Design of the card is a "mixed media mail art" and there is also a iPhone case (for iPhone 5) with it available. You can also use the cards as home decoration. I put one card in a frame for our living room.

And I have another piece of news. There is a new stamp collection designed by me now available in the shop of Whiff of Joy. The name is given by Katharina Frei and I'm so in love with it :-)

I proudly present "The Scent of Winter" - "Die Gerüche des Winters":

This stamp collection will also availbale in my Dawanda Shop soon!

My other stamp collections "spirit of nature", "paper art" and "frames" are also available here.

Maybe you are looking for christmas gifts or for yourself...? ;-)
I will send to all countries. Please email me, I will add your country if you missed it, then you can order the products.
I will try to combine shipping, hopefully it would cost less.

Thanks for visiting today! Have a nice evening/lunch/morning :-)!

Your task is to make any project using texture.
It's easy isn't it?

I made a Minialbum and I used structure paste, pearls and stamps to create texture.

Drawing is a passion of mine and I sketched this scene inspired by a photo I made on our vacation in italy. I love to create new situations by cutting out photos with emotions. The wonderful products of Ingvild are just the right things for this beautiful moment I will never forget. I love the little metal bicycle and I distressed it with the Chalk Edgers from Ingvild. I think it fits perfect for this mood. Also the little bulb in the window of the church.

Wall Decoration

Today I want to share a couple of framed decoration picture. It's difficult to identify what it is ;-).
It's just a selfmade background in each of it and a painted/doodled decoupage object. I found the bags so sweet, I absolutely had to have them.

But now, what to do with them?

I start thinking about the use of all the projects I create/created, because there is no place where I could accommodate them. To let them dust in a box in the basement is not pretty, to give away is always such a difficult thing (it's a shame if the recipient does not like it, I'm always uncertain about my art). If I add such bigger projects to my shop there would be higher shipping costs, so I think no one would bye them. Also you are all make your own great homemade projects. Throw them away is also a shame. Is really sad that these thoughts restrain me in my creativity. I think three times about it which benefit a project could have before I start it.

Do you also think about it sometimes? Have you found a solution for you? Maybe you have a advice for me?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Have a nice day!

Tutorial - Backgrounds with Stamped Leaves

Hi there,

today I want to show you a little tutorial with stamping real leaves I made for the Paperdvizhnik Challenge Blog. It's not new to use natural materials in projects. Now we have autumn and I always wanted to stamp with leaves to make some cards.

I collected some leaves and began to stamp with the chalk edgers from Ingvild Bolme. They are perfect for this plan because of the handiness and the high color pigments and the softness because of the chalk. But you can also use other ink pads.

Dab the color delicately on the leave...

...and then stamp it. I used my fingers for the first try.

That is what came out. I was satisfied, but something I could optimate.

At the next attempt I have put a white paper on the sheet and pressed firmly by hand. I think to press it down with a brayer will work even better.

To get more structure I used the back of the leave. There are the veins clearly.

And I began to mix the colors more and more.

For the motives on my cards I used the stamp sets "Spirit of nature" and "Paper art" I designed for Whiff of Joy.

I colored them with Neocolor II by using a little brush.

The background behind is also a stamp I colored with the Chalk Edgers from Ingvild. Here is my text/sentiment missing. I'm still not conclusively me what will I take.

For that card I knew immediately what will fit ;-) The text means "the early bird can kiss my ass".

And this is also not quite finished layout, but the basics (background and photo) are ready.

I hope you had fun with it and you will give it a try. Thanks for looking and have a nice day!

Practicing Drawing

In the last days I've been practicing drawing a little bit. I was inspired by some photos and several artists and tried to draw like they did (but in my style) on A6 cards. Not perfect, sometimes misshapen but always with a lot of fun.

First line / second - bird: This bird is inspired by art work from Dean Crouser (http://www.etsy.com/listing/86137605/tanager-colorful-bird-print-by-dean).

First line / third - bird: This bird is inspired by a painting of Barbara Fox (http://www.dailypainters.com/paintings/237144/CHICKADEE-10-watercolor-bird-painting/Barbara-Fox).

Upper left corner - sunflowers: I painted these flowers because of beeing inspired by Ginette Callaway. She is a great artist who paints awesome watercolor and oil paintings. I practicing drawing by using one of her paintings as inspiration (http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/ginette?sort=freshtastic&substrate=fabric).

The original work and source of the bird upper line / second I couldn't find again. Sorry for that.

Upper line / third - bird: This bird is inspired by a print of Dean Crouser (http://www.etsy.com/listing/92662902/golfinch-watercolor-bird-print-by-dean).

Upper line / forth - flower: This work is inspired by original art work of Derek Mc Crea (http://www.derekmccrea.50megs.com/photo.html).

The drawings of the butterflies are inspired by real nature photos.

Happy PPF!

Layout - Funny Girl

Hi there! I want to share a layout with you I made for the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® DT.
This is a layout about my daughter and our summer with three different photos and stories behind it.

Here is a step by step tutorial how I made it.

1 - In the first step I've placed the materials that I wanted to use: paper and sticker from Basic Grey collection RSVP, white cardstock, some overlays from Hambly, bag from Fancy Pants Parkbench and cards/tag from Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go collection and Pink Paislee Hope Chest collection, Polaroid frame from Heidi Swapp, some leftovers and pieces of selfmade paper.
2 - Adhering the white cardstock and two papers behind it with the E-Z Dots Permanent refillable dispenser
3 - Arranging the tags and cards and adhering them also with the E-Z Dots Permanent refillable dispenser
4 - Attaching the last middle layer, a polaroid frame, with 3D Foam Squares White - Mix to highlight it.

5 - I cut out some photo silhouettes.
6 - I adhered them with 3D Foam Squares White - Mix to achieve a 3D effect.
7 - I adhered the (selfmade painted) bird also with 3D Foam Squares White - Mix and I added some stripes, a heart and circleby using the E-Z Dots Permanent refillable dispenser
8 - At least I used alpha sticker and other sticker from Basic Grey collection RSVP. I finished the layout with a Journaling on a tag behind the photo on the right side.

Thanks for visiting! Have a nice day!
