Tea Time again

Hello my dear blog reader!

It's Tea Time again today on my blog ;-)

Today I am a guest at Whiff of Joy and I want to show you some wintercards I made with the new winter stamps I designed for Whiff of Joy.
The stamp collection is called "The Scent of Winter" / "Die Gerüche des Winters". What a wonderful name for these stamps (thank you Katharina)!

For the first card I have used papers from Simple Stories and the stamps tea cup and tea bag.

For the second card I used the stamp of the cup by repeatedly stamping it on white paper. Then I colored it with watercolors. I cut it out and put it onto a pattern paper. I decorated the card with Designer Shapes from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. On the Shapes I added different Glitter. You can also stamp on different pattern paper, cut out and then put together.

More inspirations will coming soon on my blog.

You can buy them at the shop of Whiff of Joy or at my Dawanda Shop.
Here you can see the stamp collections I designed so far.

Thanks for visiting! Have a nice day!

Negative Space - Layout SECRET

Hi there,

it's time for another challenge on Paperdvizhnik. The theme is "Negative Space".
Negative space, in art, is the space around and between the subject(s) of an image. Negative space may be most evident when the space around a subject, and not the subject itself, forms an interesting or artistically relevant shape, and such space is occasionally used to artistic effect as the "real" subject of an image.(wiki)

Your task is:
• to make a project using this method - combine two images in one

Here is an example what it means "combine to images":

I admit it was not easy this time. I wanted to use a silhouette but I couldn't find the right photos.
Anyway, I used this photo of my dancing daughter. The raised arm reminded me of the elegance of a swan. So I added a photo of a swan on this side which should snuggle up with her arm. I hope that I have not completely missed the theme. ;-)

Thanks for visiting me today! Would so love to see your creations! I am sure you do it much better!

"My Dad" Layout for Scrap Memory

Hi there!

Today is my birthday and I'm celebrating for sure! ;-) It is a milestone birthday and I do not know exactly if I can be happy about it, because the number says "you are really old now". ;-)

I'm welcoming in Scrap Memory today. Tasha (also known as Frau Muller) invited me to be the Guest at Scrap Files. Scrap Memory is an awesome russian challenge blog with lot's of talented and well known artists. You can find a lot of inspirations and beautiful projects there. Check it out.

The November challenge has the following rules:
You have to make any project (lo, cards, tag what you want). The project must contain 1 inspiration ( past, family, dad, time) + 2 elements (black and white photo, iron elements, twine, rhomb,) + 1 word (strong, dad, hero, memory)

I made a layout and used the word DAD as inspiration and also for the title. You can also find some twine on it and a b/w photo.

Thanks for visiting and have a nice day!! Now cheers, На здоровье, Prost! ;-)

Winter Time is Tea Time

Tea Time Season has begun!

Today I will show all tea lovers a project you can create with my stamps "The Scent of Winter" I designed for Whiff of Joy.
I made some winter decoration tablets with it.

These are handmade plaster tablets painted with acrylic paint and Gesso. For every motive I used the tea cup stamp and for each tablet a additional stamp from this collection, like cinnamon, tea bag, orange and pinecone. For finishing winter touches I added some glitter.

I hope you like it. You can also create some cards with it! Your imagination knows no boundaries.

Here you can buy this stamp collection:

My Layouts for Pop & Colours

Hi there,

now I can show you my two layouts I made for my Pop & Colours Workshop hosted by Nine and Shirel. It's all about background art and I made two layouts with the same background.
You may ask yourself why I did it. I was just curious if I can create the same background a second time. This would be a sign that the tutorial works or not. Luckily my tutorial worked well ;-)

So I had two mixed media backgrounds and I then built up totally different layouts. Once more in the classic scrappy style and the other one is a little more artsy and playful.

Layout "Fantabulous" - artsy and playful

Layout "Smile big" - classic scrappy style

I hope you love them like I do. But I want to know which one is your favorite? :-)

I must tell you that I'm totally buzzed of what the participants create at Pop & Colours. If you want you can still subscribe to this series. This has no time limit and it's open for one year.

Thanks for visiting today. Have a nice day!
