Painting a Realism Portrait

Hi Girls,

today I want to show you a realism portrait painting I made this week.

I attended a online class from Karen Milstein. She is a amazing talented girl who paint whimsical and realism portraits, dreamy flowers and sweet tutu in a lovely way. I love her pastel and soft way to paint and with her online class I had the courage to try a realism portrait.

This little painting is on a sticky canvas sheet and it shows my younger daughter.
This canvas sheet is perfect for me because I'm not sure where to put it down. Maybe in my art Journal, maybe in a Minibook I will made for my daughter, maybe as wall decoration... Not sure yet.

It has some time lasted until I was satisfied. Let me show you...
Above - I called her finished but during the process of sharing it on Facebook and Instagram I saw a lot of mistakes that I decided to give it another try.

I have made some improvements on her hair, nose, eyes, mouth, background and neck. I still see improvement needed but I am satisfied with the result. It needs a lot of exercise and time to paint it halfway realistically. Particularly the eyes and mouth I need to practice.
This is the finished version with the Referenz photo (above).

I loved to paint her, I had a lot of fun and this will not be the last.

I share it with the fabulous Paint Party Friday!

Easy Spring Card with Scraps

Hi there,

I want to show you a easy Card for Spring with a paper flower you can create with small leftovers from scrapbook paper. I made this card for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3l.

It goes really quick and clean and you need not much supplies.

Take some leftovers from scrapbook paper, a scissors and cardstock.

Cut out small pieces of paper for the petals.

Crumple them in your hand.

Distress the edges of the petals with Distress Ink.

Use the E-Z Permanent Dots Refillable to adhere the petals. Adhere only the ends of the petals. The petals should be possible to separate itself to some.

Put some twine between them, which creates a lovely movement.

Use a half-pearl for the center of the bloom.

Now have some fun with watercolor. Paint the stem of the flower and sprinkle a little bit.

Finish the flower with a black and white pen to emphasize the edges and the petals. Add your sentiment. I used Rub-ons.

I used:
E-Z Permanent Dots Refillable from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3l

E-Z Dots® Permanent - Refillable
white Cardstock
Scraps from paper "Decorative" from Delight Collection - Prima Marketing
Distress Ink "vintage photo" - Tim Holtz Ranger
Pearl "Trinkets & Baubles" from Melissa Frances
Rub-on "Words" - Tim Holtz idea-ology
Neocolor II
Black Pen from Faber Castell, White Pen from Signo

Pose

Hi there,

it's time for another challenge on Paperdvizhnik.
"Pose" is the theme and you can make any project you want with an interpretation of this theme.

This is my take on this challenge. It's a little layout with one of my daughters and I tried to create a idyllic Easter scene. I used some of beautiful chipboards from Wycinanka. Check out their shop, it's amazing!

Addicted to... for OUAS

Hi There!

You have still time for the Once Upon A Sketch February Sketch Challenge "Addicted to...".
Today I want to show my layout I made for the OUAS DT.

It's about the snow fun and the excitement of my girls when they are sliding or build a snowman. It's always heartwarming to see their joy. The girls are addicted to snow but I'm addicted to their smiles and laugh. :-)

I would love to see your interpretation of the sketch and theme this month.
