Today I will show you a mixed media background for my Denim Art Journal made with the Donna Salazar E-Z Stars Runner - Refillable and Pigment Powder - gold and also with 3D Foam Stars. Take a look at the great E-Z Stars Runner - Refillable, it's my favorite so far. :-)

It's a nighty background and here is my tutorial.

1 - Put Gelatos (or other watersoluble paint) in different blues, black and a bit of yellow color onto your surface.
2 - Mix the colors with water and a sponge (or brush, or fingers).
3 - Use some text stamps to make texture.
4 - Apply stars with the E-Z Stars Runner - Refillable on several points.
5 - Apply Pigment Powder - gold with a dry brush.

6 - In addition use the 3D Foam Stars and add also Pigment Powder - gold with a dry brush and / or a bit embossing powder or Glitter.
7 - Adhere your stars on your background.
8 - Use Gesso and a sponge to make some clouds.
9 - Add a tree with a stencil and paint.
10 - Make some texture with stamps on the bottom of your page.

Now your background is ready for decoration. Tomorrow I will show you the finishing up of that Art Journal Background, so stay tuned, see us tomorrow!
