You Take Off

I just want to show you a little card or tag I made as an addition for my Hubby's Birthday Present.

I had so much fun to interpret the theme FLY. He will take off with an Paraglider and I used the amazing aviator glasses from Ingvild Bolme's new collection to give him a hint.

The background paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Creative Girl paper pad, the craft cardstock is from a leftover of a box. The ribbon is from Maya Road and the Feather is one of the stamps I designed for Whiff of Joy. I colored the stamp with chalk edgers from Ingvild Bolme, stamped an cut it out. The little wood charms are also from Cosmo Cricket. I painted them with NeocolorII.

Thanks for visiting!

My Home

Hi there,

today it's my part at Paperdvizhnik's Home theme.

I want to show you how I work and create. I have a room just for me, but it developed slowly. First it was a guest room, then a study for my Hubby and me. But then I annexed all corners and tables in this room with my material, equipment and stuff and I won ;-)

This is the view of the left side of the room with PC, pens, washi tape and paints and some shelves to show some of my projects.

Here are some projects, some works of fame ;-)

These layouts are ready and waiting for the album.

This is the right side of the room with my work space, embellishments, stamps,... and a lot of boxes to hide the chaos. Take a note, the work space in the corner never looks like this. It's always a mess. But I had to clean up for the new cabinets you will see now.

This is my view back from the work space. The cabinets in the corner are my gallery. There are some works and projects in there I especially love. I always missing a place where I could set up the projects and I am very pleased that they are now no longer get stuck in boxes, but I can see my hard work directly. From there I take out projects to give away or sell. The vacancies are filled quickly. And have a lovely couch to relax ;-)

I feel very inspired and comfortable here. It is my kingdom and I love it.

Spring I miss you....

For me now it's time for spring. I know the winter wasn't very strong but I miss the birds chirp and the green on the trees and bushes. We still have snow here and I know I have to wait patiently. But anyway, I created my early spring with this card and I dream a little... ;-)

Fragile Glass

Just another play in my Art Journal. I used the Feather and Leaves Stamp Set I designed for Whiff of Joy. (It's now available in the shop of Whiff of Joy).

My background is a piece of water color paper, because I have to do not worry me that the paper curl or wrinkle. I used watercolor and white acrylic paint to splash and added a rudimentary face silhouette with black acrylic paint. I cutet out the stamped feathers and arranged them like hair or a hat on the top of the face. My little mosquito helps to complete the face below.

These are the stamp sets. I also used them last week. I would so love to see them in other works and projects, maybe you will give them a try. If so, please share your work with me.

Thanks for visiting today. I wish you all a wonderful friday and a Happy PPF!

Art Journal and new stamps

Hi There,

last days I had time to play in my art journal and I had so much fun. Because it was just for me.

I painted an owl with watercolors. In my mind the face of an owl has so much character and personality. Sometimes the impenetrable look intill a little fear but sometimes I find it cute and cuddly.

My sentiments are some phrases from a song text "I see you" (Leona Lewis).
"When my heart was never open
(And my spirit never free)
To the world that you have shown me
You teach me how to see all that's beautiful
My senses touch a world I never pictured"

I also had the pleasure to use the brand new "Feather" and "Leaves" stamps I designed for Whiff of Joy. I especially love to hold the sketches I made as stamps in my hand. I hope you will love them as I do.
These were my first attempts in my art journal.

You can buy these stamps collections from the 20th of January at the shop of Whiff of Joy. Later I will add these also to my Dawanda Shop.

And this Art Journal Page is made for the Art Journal Journey - January Challenge "Silence". I used some stamps from the new "Feather" stamp set, as you can see the two leaves and the little mosquito. For the background I used the Arabesque stencil from Nathalie Kalbach and Glimmer Mist. Then I sketched the tree with a black pen.

I share it with the fabulous Paint Party Friday and with you. Thanks for visiting today! I wish you all a wonderful Friday and a great Weekend!

Layout Charmed for OUAS

Hi my dear blog reader,

today I want to show you the first layout I made as a Once Upon a Sketch DT member. I'm so excited and thankful for the invitation from Nadia.

These are the Rules for the January sketch:

Journalling Theme: "Lesson learnt..."

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long.

And this is my layout.

It's about learning that it's difficult to pour in water in a cup from a water fountain.
At first she was very patient, but then very angry about the fact that they could easily absorb any water. Yes, lesson learnt....

So please hop over to the blog of Once Upon A Sketch, there are wonderful prizes to win this month.

One of the permanent sponsors for 2014 is Whiff of Joy. Every month you can win a stamp set I designed for Whiff of Joy. Isn't it amazing?

Have a nice day!

Creative Jumpstart 2014

Hi girls, dear blog reader,

I'm excited because today it's my turn as a JumpStarter in Creative JumpStart (CJS) 2014, run by Nathalie Kalbach. Wahoooo!

You will see my video with the theme "Ordinary Household Items". The idea is to use an ordinary household item for a technique or as the base of a project.
You will see me (yes ME, I'm camera shy, but I jumped over my own shadow ;-)) in two different and short spots and you will get some inspiration in a longer spot.
The first spot was an idea from my Hubby. It's about that household item I created with. We had so much fun together to make this little movie, we laughed a lot.
Are you curious?

Head on over to Nathalie's site to sign up and for more details. CJS costs just $20 for the 3.5 hours of video content. That's less than $1 per video -- a great deal.

If you're not familiar with CJS, it's a one-of-a-kind community event to inspire your creativity. Need help getting your creative mojo going in 2014? CJS can help.

Throughout January participants get 23 videos from 21 featured artists. I'm proud to be one of those artists. It's an amazing event where you can learn new techniques, discover new materials, and connect with other Mixed Media Artists and Scrapbookers.

I would love to see you there! Have a great creative day!

I had the pleasure to work with the new Resist Chalk Edgers from Ingvild. These are little wonders and I'm so in love!
I made some easter eggs with it and want to show you a little video tutorial. I also made a card with the paper eggs and therefor I also used some other new products from Ingvild.

The Resist Chalk Edgers are in dark grey so you can differentiate them from the Chalk Edgers who have a turquoise body.

Here you can see all the new Resist Chalk Edgers. They comes in different color palettes and I think I will need them all ;-)

These are some eggs I made with them.

This is my card on which I used the eggs and other new supplies, the Jeans Plate, tassel and Shabby Chic Resin Frame.

Enjoy my little video!

My second project is the canvas "Dream Garden" about one of my creations of exclusive custom-fitted clothing ;-)
This is my dream garden with a paper dress and a lot of Ingvilds new beautiful embellishments. Just perfect for a scene like this.

I used the following supplies from Ingvild Bolme:

Ingvild Bolme - Resist Chalk Edgers
